Owner & Attorney
William Mumfrey, CPA
William Mumfrey is the founder of Mumfrey Estate & Tax Law PLLC. As both an attorney and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he brings a dual perspective to his practice—combining legal strategy with a strong understanding of tax and financial considerations.
William graduated magnum cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans in 2018, earning degrees in both accounting and finance. He then graduated from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2023 and is licensed to practice law in both Texas and Louisiana. Prior to attending law school, William worked in public accounting.
His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, and tax resolution, where this combined background provides clients with practical, well-rounded solutions. In estate planning, he helps clients structure wills and trusts with an eye toward both legal effectiveness and tax efficiency. In probate matters, he guides families through the administration process with clarity and care. In tax resolution, he works to resolve IRS and state tax issues with strategic, results-oriented approaches.
William founded the firm to offer a more personalized alternative to traditional law practices—one where clients receive direct attention, thoughtful counsel, and legal strategies built around their specific goals.
Outside of his practice, William is a husband and father. He is married to his wife, Kailey, and they share a daughter, Kyle. This personal perspective shapes his approach to estate planning—understanding firsthand the importance of protecting family, planning for the future, and creating peace of mind for the people who matter most.
He is committed to making complex legal and tax issues understandable and ensuring clients feel informed and confident throughout the process.
We help clients create wills, trusts, and comprehensive plans that protect their assets, provide for their loved ones, and ensure their wishes are honored.
